How you can Measure a new Duvet Cover
Once you dress a bed having a duvet inside a duvet cover, you have both a functional cover for warmness and a bedding piece that adds design style and color to a bedroom. The duvet will be the inside comforter that delivers warmth and the separate duvet cover provides color and texture while keeping the duvet clean. An accumulation of duvet covers allows you to change the look of the bed when the seasons or your preferences modify.
1 . Spread the quilt out on a flat surface to help ensure accurate measurements.
2 . Place the end of the tape measure in the side edge of the duvet and expand the tape measure straight across to the opposite side edge of the duvet to measure the width of the duvet. Add one inch to the measurement to allow adequate room to maneuver the duvet within the cover. Record the measurement.
3. Measure the length of the duvet using the same method through the top edge of the duvet straight down to the bottom edge. Add a single inch to the measurement. Record the measurement.
4. Select or sew a duvet cover that fits the duvet based on the width and size measurements.
5. Insert the duvet within the duvet cover in similar fashion to placing a pillow inside a pillowcase. Close up the side or back opening of the duvet cover to encase the duvet within the protect.
6. Place the duvet and protect within the bed.
